093_SR0167 LRB093 11983 RAH 16530 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Cheryl Ann 4 Hopkins Campbell on April 29, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Cheryl Ann was the loving wife of Brian David 6 Campbell, who also passed away on April 29, 2003; and 7 WHEREAS, Cheryl Ann Hopkins Campbell was born in East St. 8 Louis to Robert and Mamie Hopkins; and 9 WHEREAS, A graduate of East St. Louis School District # 10 189, Mrs. Campbell went on to graduate with honors from 11 Greenwood College where she also completed her graduate work 12 and received her Master's Degree in Accounting; and 13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Campbell began her walk with the Lord at 14 St. Matthews Baptist Church; upon her union to Brian 15 Campbell, she became a member of St. Paul Baptist Church; and 16 WHEREAS, The passing of Cheryl Ann Hopkins Campbell has 17 been deeply felt by all who knew him, especially her mother, 18 Mamie (Hopkins) MonCrief; her son, Brian Ward; her brothers, 19 Robert Hopkins, Gerald (Kim) Hopkins, Henderson Hopkins, and 20 Larry (Jatonya) Hopkins; her sisters, Valerie (Adams) Hopson 21 and Carol (Hopkins) Jennings; her aunt, Louise Slack; her 22 many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and 23 cousins; and her special friends from her Channel 2 News 24 family, Rose, Linda, and Tony; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 27 of Cheryl Ann Hopkins Campbell and express our sincere and 28 deepest sympathy to her family and friends; and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of Cheryl Ann Hopkins Campbell as an -2- LRB093 11983 RAH 16530 r 1 expression of our condolences during their time of 2 bereavement.
