093_SR0128 LRB093 11693 HSS 15345 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Robert H. 4 Shaw of Jerseyville on Saturday, April 26, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw was born on December 7, 1926, in White 6 Hall to Frank Russell and Bonnie E. Varble Shaw; he attended 7 Kane High School and graduated from Jersey Township High 8 School in 1945; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw valiantly served his country in the 10 United States Army during World War II; he married Doris 11 Johngy Bray in 1948 in Jerseyville; and 12 WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw was a lifelong insurance agent; he was 13 vice president and acting president of Family Life Insurance 14 in Alton and Bartonville; he later retired as an insurance 15 examiner for the Department of Insurance in 1995 after 15 16 years; and 17 WHEREAS, Mr. Shaw was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic 18 Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Eagles, Moose, and 19 the American Legion, all in Jerseyville; he was a Jersey 20 County public administrator and guardian; and 21 WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. Robert H. Shaw has been 22 deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Doris; his 23 daughters, Sandy (husband, Bill) Rolando, Janie (husband, 24 Robin) Schroeder, Susie (husband, Gordon) Becker, and Trish 25 (husband, Bill) Green; his son, Bobby (wife, Andrea) Shaw; 26 his 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his 27 sisters, Doris Oldham, Edith Mallicot, and Irene Epperson; 28 and his brother, Dick (wife, Sonja) Shaw; therefore, be it 29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 31 of Robert H.
