093_SR0067 LRB093 09372 KEF 09607 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Jean F. 4 Bancroft of Park Ridge on May 26, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bancroft was a devoted Republican and was 6 thought of very highly by fellow Republican Club members; she 7 was very active in introducing potential elected officials to 8 the community and hosted many Republican affairs; she was one 9 of the founders of "The Republican Women of Park Ridge", she 10 never missed a meeting and was recognized as the top 11 fundraiser numerous times; in addition, she started the 12 Republican bridge club; and 13 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bancroft volunteered much of her time to 14 charitable organizations including Saint Mary's Church; in 15 addition, she was a member of the PEO, a women's 16 philanthropic organization, and devoted time to preserving 17 and remembering the history of Park Ridge; and 18 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bancroft was very generous with her time, 19 extremely helpful to others, and offered guidance for anyone 20 in need; and 21 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her friends 22 and family, especially her children, Richard and Alan; and 23 her sisters, Mary Lou Kruesser and Madaline Wygant; and 24 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bancroft was preceded in death by her 25 husband, Harold; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of 28 Jean F. Bancroft, along with all who knew and loved her, and 29 extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and 30 be it further -2- LRB093 09372 KEF 09607 r 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to the family of Jean F.
