093_SR0055 LRB093 11120 KEF 11894 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of James T. 4 "Fitz" Fitzgerald of Collinsville on January 27, 2003 at 70 5 years of age; and 6 WHEREAS, Mr. Fitzgerald was born on December 6, 1932 in 7 Baltimore, Maryland to Edward Michael and Margaret 8 Fitzgerald; he married Joyce Combetto on April 14, 1956; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Fitzgerald was a retired truck driver with 10 the Teamsters, and a Madison County Board member; he was a 11 member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of 12 Columbus 1712, the 4th Degree Assembly 233, and the Dover 13 Boys; he was also a volunteer lifeguard for the YMCA; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Fitzgerald's death will be deeply felt by 15 his friends and family, especially his wife, Joyce; his three 16 sons, James Timothy (Antoinette) Fitzgerald, Thomas Patrick 17 (Beverly) Fitzgerald, and James Michael Fitzgerald; his 18 daughter, Kelly (Boyd) Bermel; his three brothers, Edward, 19 Joseph, and Nelson Fitzgerald; his sister, Loretta 20 Bohnenstiehl; his mother-in-law, Priscilla Combetto; and his 21 grandchildren, Jamie, Ann and William Fitzgerald, Francesca 22 and Patrick Fitzgerald, and Lauren, Cannady, and Alexandra 23 Bermel; and 24 WHEREAS, Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his 25 parents, Edward Michael and Margaret Fitzgerald; and his 26 sister, Margaret Prete; therefore, be it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of 29 James T. "Fitz" Fitzgerald and we extend our sincerest 30 condolences to all who knew and loved him; and be it further 31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be -2- LRB093 11120 KEF 11894 r 1 presented to the family of James T.
