093_SR0012 LRB093 05882 HSS 05975 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Loraine G. 4 Heriaud of Naperville on Saturday, January 11, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Heriaud was born on October 20, 1915 in 6 Toronto, Canada to John and Gladys (Moat) Brady; and 7 WHEREAS, Mrs. Heriaud was a graduate of East Aurora High 8 School; she was employed for 13 years by Provena Mercy Center 9 as a C.N.A. in the pediatrics unit until her retirement in 10 1980; she will be remembered for her love of children, her 11 family, and enjoying life everyday; and 12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Heriaud will be deeply missed and 13 remembered with affection by all who knew her, especially her 14 13 children, Vernice (Robert) Beach, Charlotte (Richard) 15 Jacobs, Albert (Starla) Heriaud, Eugene (Karen) Heriaud, 16 Thomas (Pat) Heriaud, Joseph (Lynne) Heriaud, Sue (Dave) 17 Plum, Lee (Becky) Heriaud, Neal (Ann Platzer) Heriaud, June 18 (Steve) Ballard, James Heriaud, Edward Heriaud, and Nan 19 (Jeffrey) Hansen; her 36 grandchildren, Craig Beach, Dave 20 (Sara) Beach, and Lisa (Jason) Ripper; Mike (Lori) Jacobs, 21 Joe (Bernadette) Jacobs, Anne Jacobs, Rich (Paulina) Jacobs, 22 and Mark Jacobs; James, Nicholas, and Paris Jordan; Michelle 23 (Brian) Pitstick, Brian (Elizabeth) Heriaud, Dawn (Greg) 24 Jungels, and Leanne Heriaud; Kim (Craig) Brown and Jennifer 25 Heriaud; Joe (Susan) Heriaud, Chad (Joann) Heriaud, and Jaime 26 (Kane) Akre; Fred (Maura) Plum and Bruce (Jennifer) Plum; 27 Travis, Corey, and Emma Heriaud; Ben and Andy Heriaud; 28 Steffanie and Jason Ballard; and Jeffrey, D.J., Jordan, 29 David, Jackie, Jessica, and Julia Hansen; and 30 WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Heriaud will also be deeply 31 felt by her 26 great-grandchildren, Emily and Madeline Beach 32 and Abby and Miles Ripper; Brittany, Taylor, Katie, Allise, -2- LRB093 05882 HSS 05975 r 1 and Austin Jacobs; Michael and Matthew Pitstick, Carleigh and 2 Mitchell Heriaud, and Zack and Ashley Jungels; Ryker, 3 Carissa, Morgan, and Evan Brown; Kayla, Anthony, and Hannah 4 Heriaud; Breanna and Trenten Akre; and Faith and Gracie Plum; 5 her four sisters, Jean (Bob) Wendt, Mildred (Warren) Landeck, 6 Gladys Everding, and Doris Schmidt; her three sisters-in-law, 7 Gen Ross, Beverly Amalchuk, and Donna Botz; her 8 brother-in-law, Erie Rossi; and numerous nieces and nephews; 9 she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in 1969; one 10 son, Frederick Heriaud, who was the Aurora area's first 11 soldier to be killed in action during the Vietnam War in 12 1965; two brothers, John and Tom Brady; one sister, Phyllis 13 Rossi; and her parents, John and Gladys (Moat) Brady; 14 therefore, be it 15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 17 of Loraine G. Heriaud and offer our sincerest condolences to 18 her family and friends; and be it further 19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 20 presented to the family of Loraine G. Heriaud with our 21 deepest sympathy.
