 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to learn of the death of Beverly J.
 4    Bowman on December 26, 2002; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mrs. Bowman was born on November  1,  1935;  she
 6    married her childhood sweetheart, John; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Bowman was self-taught in bookkeeping and
 8    accounting; and

 9        WHEREAS, Mrs. Bowman had a wonderful  spirit  about  life
10    and  lived  it  to the fullest; she loved plants, decorating,
11    reading books, and watching old movies;  she  also  loved  to
12    travel and experience new places; and

13        WHEREAS,  Her  passing  will be deeply felt by her family
14    and friend especially her husband, John; her  five  children,
15    Cynthia,   Valerie,   Diane,   Kym,   and   John;   her   six
16    grandchildren, Maurice, Jayson, Stephanie, Stephen, Janae and
17    John  Aaron;  her  sister,  Cynthia  Jefferson;  her  nieces,
18    Phyllis and Sheree; her nephew, Dino; her sons-in-law, James,
19    Darrell  and  Gary;  her  daughter-in-law,  Latrice; and many
20    friends; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
22    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
23    Beverly J. Bowman, along with all who knew and loved her, and
24    extend  our  sincere  condolences  to  her  family; and be it
25    further

26        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
27    delivered to the family of Beverly J. Bowman.
