SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Makes appropriations and reappropriations to Southern Illinois University for various purposes, including ordinary and contingent expenses.  Effective July 1, 2004.

    AN ACT making appropriations and reappropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of Southern Illinois University, including payment or reimbursement to the University for personal services and related costs, incurred during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005:

  For Personal Services, including payment to the University             for personal services costs incurred during the fiscal

  For State Contributions to Social

    Security, for Medicare....................... 2,445,200

  For Contractual Services...................... 18,194,100

  For Travel........................................ 57,300

  For Commodities................................ 1,445,600

  For Operation of Automotive Equipment............ 680,100

  For Awards and Grants............................ 655,500

  For Southern Illinois Collegiate

    Section 10.  The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for all costs required to match the Federal Title II Teacher Quality Enhancement State Grant for Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, including payment to the University for personal services and related costs incurred, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.

 

    Section 15.  The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for all costs required to match the Federal Title II Teacher Quality Enhancement State Grant for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, including payment to the University for personal services and related costs incurred, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.

 

    Section 20.  The sum of $800,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of business on June 30, 2004, from a reappropriation heretofore made for such purpose in Article 4, Section 65 of Public Act 93-587, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for the purchase of equipment for Altgeld Hall and the Old Baptist Foundation Building at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

 

  Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2004.
