| AN ACT concerning executive agencies.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |
5 |
| Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
6 |
| amended by changing Section 605-55 as
follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 605/605-55) (was 20 ILCS 605/46.21)
|

| Sec. 605-55. Contracts and other acts to accomplish the |
9 |
| Department's
duties. To make and enter into contracts, |
10 |
| including but not limited
to making grants and loans to units |
11 |
| of local government, private
agencies as defined in the |
12 |
| Illinois State Auditing Act, non-profit
corporations, |
13 |
| educational institutions, and for-profit businesses as
|
14 |
| authorized pursuant to appropriations by the General Assembly |
15 |
| from the
Build Illinois Bond Fund, the Build Illinois Purposes |
16 |
| Fund, the Fund for
Illinois' Future, the Capital Development |
17 |
| Fund, and the General Revenue
Fund, and generally to do all |
18 |
| things that, in its judgment, may be
necessary, proper, and |
19 |
| expedient in accomplishing its duties.
