Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that an employee of the
Department of Children and Family Services or a foster parent licensed by the
Department of Children and Family Services who knowingly falsifies a Department
document
or who
knowingly makes a false statement in a Department document as to a material
fact in relation to an
investigation of alleged or suspected neglect or abuse of a minor or in
relation to an
investigation of an alleged dependent minor is guilty of a Class 4 felony.
Effective
immediately.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding |
5 |
| Section 33-6 as
follows:
|

| (720 ILCS 5/33-6 new)
|

| Sec. 33-6. Department of Children and Family Services |
8 |
| employees or foster
parents falsifying records. An employee of |
9 |
| the Department of Children and
Family
Services or a foster |
10 |
| parent licensed by the Department of Children and Family
|
11 |
| Services
who knowingly falsifies a document required to be made |
12 |
| or kept by the
Department or who knowingly makes a false |
13 |
| statement in
a
document required to be made or kept by the |
14 |
| Department as to a material fact in
relation to an |
15 |
| investigation of alleged or
suspected
neglect or abuse of a |
16 |
| minor as defined in Section 2-3 of the Juvenile Court Act
of |
17 |
| 1987 or
in relation to an investigation of an alleged dependent |
18 |
| minor as defined in
Section 2-4 of
the Juvenile Court Act of |
19 |
| 1987 is guilty of a Class 4 felony.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
21 |
| becoming law. |
