| AN ACT in relation to alcoholic liquor.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 12-2 as follows:
|

| (235 ILCS 5/12-2)
|

| Sec. 12-2. Powers and duties of Council.
|
8 |
| (a) Upon the appointment of its final member, the Council |
9 |
| shall adopt
bylaws governing its members, meetings, terms of |
10 |
| office, and administration.
|
11 |
| (b) The Council shall provide support and growth services |
12 |
| to the grape
wine industry in Illinois that include, but need |
13 |
| not be limited to: (i)
advocacy,
liaison, and promotion of |
14 |
| grape growing and wine making, (ii) the provision of
|
15 |
| consultation and special training to prospective and |
16 |
| established grape growers
and wine makers, (iii) viticulture |
17 |
| and enological research pertinent to Illinois
State
wine |
18 |
| industry
needs, and (iv) development of marketing policies and |
19 |
| strategies.
|
20 |
| (c) The Council shall not enter into any effort to regulate |
21 |
| the price of
grape products or wine.
