| AN ACT concerning ethics.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 10-10 as follows:
|

| (5 ILCS 430/10-10)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 10-10. Gift ban. Except as otherwise provided in this |
| 8 |
| Article, no
officer, member, or
State employee
shall |
| 9 |
| intentionally solicit or intentionally accept any gift from any |
| 10 |
| prohibited
source or in violation of any federal or State |
| 11 |
| statute, rule, or regulation.
This ban applies to
and includes |
| 12 |
| the spouse of and immediate
family living with the officer, |
| 13 |
| member, or State employee.
No prohibited source shall |
| 14 |
| intentionally offer or intentionally make a gift that violates
|
| 15 |
| this Section.
