SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 		













70 ILCS 920/5.4 new









    Amends the Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act. Dissolves the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District upon the effective date of the amendatory Act. Requires all assets and
liabilities of the dissolved district to be transferred to the Cook County Board. Requires the Board to deposit those assets into the County Working Cash Fund. Requires all responsibility for tuberculosis treatment and care of the
dissolved district to be transferred
to
the
Cook County Department of Public Health.

    AN ACT concerning tuberculosis sanitariums.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act is 
5
amended by
adding Section 5.4 as follows:

    (70 ILCS 920/5.4 new)

    Sec. 5.4. Dissolution; Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis 
8
Sanitarium District.  Notwithstanding any
provision of law to 
9
the contrary, the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium 
10
District is
dissolved by operation of law upon the effective 
11
date of this amendatory Act of
the 93rd General
Assembly. All 
12
assets and liabilities of the dissolved Suburban Cook County 
13
Tuberculosis Sanitarium District are transferred to the Cook 
14
County Board and all assets shall be deposited into the County 
15
Working Cash Fund. All responsibility for tuberculosis
care and 
16
treatment of the dissolved Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis 
17
Sanitarium District is transferred to
the Cook County 
18
Department of Public Health.
