 1        AN ACT concerning violence prevention.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Violence Prevention Act of  1995
 5    is amended by changing Section 5 as follows:

 6        (20 ILCS 4027/5)
 7        Sec.  5.  Purpose.   The  purpose of this Act is to plan,
 8    coordinate, evaluate,  and  fund  public  health  and  public
 9    safety  approaches  to  violence  prevention  in the State of
10    Illinois.
