Amend Senate Bill 10, AS AMENDED, by 3 replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 4 following: 5 "Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by 6 adding Section 25 as follows: 7 (110 ILCS 305/25 new) 8 Sec. 25. Limitation on tuition increase. This Section 9 applies only to those students who first enroll after the 10 2003-2004 academic year. For 4 continuous academic years 11 following initial enrollment (or for undergraduate programs 12 that require more than 4 years to complete, for the normal 13 time to complete the program, as determined by the 14 University), the tuition charged an undergraduate student who 15 is an Illinois resident shall not exceed the amount that the 16 student was charged at the time he or she first enrolled in 17 the University.
