| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
|
3 |
| Representatives wish to congratulate Representative Frank J. |
4 |
| Aguilar of Cicero on his service to the people of the 24th |
5 |
| District; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Representative Aguilar has been a member of the |
7 |
| Illinois House since 2003 and has served this body with |
8 |
| distinction; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Representative Aguilar's legislative |
10 |
| accomplishments include the significant "Project Safe Streets" |
11 |
| anti-crime legislation; he also worked extensively on |
12 |
| immigration issues and legislation; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, He has been a member of the Committees on |
14 |
| Appropriations-Elementary & Secondary Education, Commerce & |
15 |
| Business Development, Health Care Availability & Access, |
16 |
| Juvenile Justice Reform, and Committee of the Whole; he was |
17 |
| also Chairman of the Illinois House Republican Violent Crimes |
18 |
| Task Force; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, Representative Aguilar received a bachelor's |
20 |
| degree in philosophy from Loyola University, and a master's |
21 |
| degree in public administration from Roosevelt University; |
22 |
| prior to serving in the House, he was Coordinator for Special |
23 |
| Projects, Town of Cicero; union representative, International |
24 |
| Union of Allied & Production Workers; Senior Operations |
25 |
| Manager, Junior Achievement of Allied and Production Workers; |
26 |
| and Executive Director, Little Village Chamber of Commerce; and
|
27 |
| WHEREAS, He has received awards and has been involved in |
28 |
| numerous civic and community activities; he has also authored |
29 |
| many articles on industrial and governmental relations that |
30 |
| have been published nationally; therefore, be it
