| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, Corporal Joshua Douglas Palmer of Blandinsville |
3 |
| died Monday, November 8, 2004 near Fallujah, Iraq where he was |
4 |
| serving with the U.S. Marine Corps, Engineer Company C; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born in Carthage on July 7, 1980, the son |
6 |
| of Doug and Carol (Hasten) Palmer; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1999; he |
8 |
| enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1999 and served until |
9 |
| 2003; in 2003, he re-enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps |
10 |
| Reserves; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He was a determined and dedicated young man with |
12 |
| many friends; he loved his family, motorcycles, and working |
13 |
| with his hands; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Corporal Joshua Douglas Palmer will |
15 |
| be deeply felt by many, especially his parents; his sister, |
16 |
| Amanda Palmer; his grandparents, Barb and Rex Stewart and |
17 |
| Hollis Palmer and Donna Burnett; and several aunts, uncles, and |
18 |
| cousins; therefore, be it |
19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
20 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that, |
21 |
| together with his family and friends and the citizens of this |
22 |
| State and this great nation, we mourn the passing of Corporal |
23 |
| Joshua Douglas Palmer and we extend to his family our sincerest |
24 |
| condolences during their time of bereavement; and be it further
|
25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
26 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
27 |
| sympathy.
