| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, Jerry Mack, Sr. of Chicago recently passed away; |
3 |
| and
|
4 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on November 16, 1919, in Yazoo City, |
5 |
| Mississippi, to the late John and Pearl Mack; he received his |
6 |
| education in the public school system in Yazoo City; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Before moving to Chicago, he married Margaret |
8 |
| Willis; he joined the Army in 1942 and faithfully served his |
9 |
| country in World War II;
after the war, he and Margaret moved |
10 |
| to Chicago and they had three children; Margaret preceded him |
11 |
| in death after 25 years of marriage; a devoted and dedicated |
12 |
| father, he then raised all three children alone; and |
13 |
| WHEREAS, He was a faithful member of the New Covenant |
14 |
| Missionary Baptist Church; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, He retired after a total of 40 years of service at |
16 |
| Alcoa and Central Diecasting; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Jerry Mack, Sr. will be deeply felt |
18 |
| by many, especially his daughters, Patricia Mack and Margaret |
19 |
| Mack; his son, Jerry L. Mack, Jr.; his grandchildren, George |
20 |
| Mack and Kenton Dial; his great-grandchild, Eboni Mack; and |
21 |
| many relatives and friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
23 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
24 |
| mourn the death of Jerry Mack, Sr. along with all who knew and |
25 |
| loved him and we extend our sincere condolences to his family |
26 |
| and friends during their time of bereavement; and be it further
|
27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
