| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The Mundelein Park and Recreation District is an |
| 3 |
| outstanding model for park districts throughout this State; the |
| 4 |
| District also provides an invaluable service to Mundelein and |
| 5 |
| the surrounding communities; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Mundelein Park and Recreation District is |
| 7 |
| currently celebrating its 50th anniversary; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, During the last 50 years, the District has grown |
| 9 |
| from a mere 14 acres of land to over 30 sites that encompass |
| 10 |
| 725 acres; it now serves a population of 34,000 residents and |
| 11 |
| its facilities include a Community Center with a fitness |
| 12 |
| center, an indoor pool, a day care center, a Senior Center, the |
| 13 |
| Diamond Lake Recreation Center, the Kracklauer Dance Studio, a |
| 14 |
| Community Park Chalet, the Fort Hill Heritage Center Museum, |
| 15 |
| and the Steeple Chase Golf Course; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The Mundelein Park and Recreation District also |
| 17 |
| maintains 34 park locations throughout the district; these |
| 18 |
| parks provide residents with quality facilities and |
| 19 |
| recreational events for all ages; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 22 |
| congratulate the Mundelein Park and Recreation District on the |
| 23 |
| occasion of its 50th anniversary; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That we commend the Mundelein Park and Recreation |
| 25 |
| District on its high standards of excellence and outstanding |
| 26 |
| service to the residents of Mundelein; and be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to the Board of Commissioners of the Mundelein Park |
| 29 |
| and Recreation District.
