| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The Oswego High Schools Marching Band last year |
| 3 |
| was invited to march in the 116th Tournament of Roses Parade in |
| 4 |
| Pasadena, California on January 1, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The Oswego High School Bands are now in the home |
| 6 |
| stretch of a yearlong effort that will culminate in the band's |
| 7 |
| marching down Colorado Avenue in Pasadena on New Year's Day; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Oswego High Schools Marching Band is the only |
| 10 |
| band from Illinois marching in the 2005 Tournament of Roses |
| 11 |
| Parade; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The Tournament of Roses Parade will be the |
| 13 |
| experience of a lifetime for the students and a source of great |
| 14 |
| pride to the entire community and the State of Illinois; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The band's performance in the parade is the result |
| 16 |
| of a great program with exceptional leadership; therefore, be |
| 17 |
| it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| congratulate the Oswego High Schools Marching Band on its |
| 21 |
| invitation to march in the 2005 Tournament of Roses Parade; and |
| 22 |
| be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to the directors, assistant directors, and members of |
| 25 |
| the Oswego High Schools Marching Band.
