| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the Illinois House |
3 |
| of Representatives that Brandon Runge has completed the |
4 |
| necessary requirements to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout within |
5 |
| the Boy Scouts of America; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Brandon Runge, born on September 5, 1989 to |
7 |
| Theodore and Mario Runge, has just completed his freshman year |
8 |
| at Montini Catholic High School in Lombard; Mr. Runge is a |
9 |
| graduate of St. Scholastica grammar school in Woodridge where |
10 |
| he joined the Cub Scouts in the second grade and the Boy Scouts |
11 |
| in the fifth grade; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest advancement |
13 |
| rank within the Boy Scouts of America and is only obtained by |
14 |
| approximately 4% of Boy Scouts; in order to become an Eagle |
15 |
| Scout one must earn 21 merit badges, participate in service |
16 |
| projects, and attend scoutmaster conferences, among other |
17 |
| things; the goal of these tasks is to show a dedication and |
18 |
| proven excellence in the areas of citizenship training, |
19 |
| character development, and personal fitness; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, Brandon Runge has successfully completed all of |
21 |
| the requirements and will be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at |
22 |
| a ceremony on September 5, 2004; taking into consideration the |
23 |
| degree of dedication and hard work it takes to successfully |
24 |
| complete the required fields to become an Eagle Scout, it is |
25 |
| obvious that Mr. Runge has shown maturity and dedication to |
26 |
| becoming a pillar of society and is an inspiration to all the |
27 |
| members of the General Assembly and his own community; |

| therefore be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
