| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 |
| Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of former |
4 |
| Chicago Police Captain Joseph Mullin on March 5, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Captain Mullin retired in 2001; he never forgot |
6 |
| what it was like to be a police officer even though he had been |
7 |
| a captain for many years; he took an active interest in what he |
8 |
| was doing and never took his job or the people who worked for |
9 |
| him for granted; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Captain Mullin was a charismatic leader, role |
11 |
| model, and always in top physical form; he influenced many |
12 |
| lives and will not be forgotten; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of former Chicago Police Captain |
14 |
| Joseph Mullin will be deeply felt by many, especially his wife |
15 |
| of 48 years, Mary Ellen; his three children, Mary Jo, Joseph, |
16 |
| and Donna; his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, Anne, Mandy, |
17 |
| Matthew, Maura, and Emma; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
20 |
| mourn the death of Joseph Mullin along with all who knew and |
21 |
| loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
22 |
| friends, and community; and be it further
|
23 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
24 |
| presented to the family of Joseph Mullin as an expression of |
25 |
| our deepest sympathy.
