| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 |
| Representatives were saddened to learn of the death Clarence |
4 |
| "Bubba" Glenn on April 22, 2004; and |
5 |
| WHEREAS, Clarence "Bubba" Glenn was born in Chicago, one of |
6 |
| six children of Clarence and Gertrude Glenn; he grew up in |
7 |
| Bronzeville and graduated from Wendell Phillips High School; |
8 |
| and |
9 |
| WHEREAS, Clarence "Bubba" Glenn was a private detective who |
10 |
| infiltrated the most dangerous criminal enterprises in the |
11 |
| Chicago area for over 30 years; he was brought into the law |
12 |
| enforcement circle by then Chicago Police officer Dan Davis who |
13 |
| later became his boss at The Security Professionals, Inc.; and |
14 |
| WHEREAS, Clarence "Bubba" Glenn often helped the Chicago |
15 |
| Police Department find the killers of police officers; and |
16 |
| WHEREAS, Clarence "Bubba" Glenn was known for his |
17 |
| generosity and always had a smile on his face while he was |
18 |
| helping anyone who asked for his assistance; and |
19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Clarence "Bubba" Glenn will be |
20 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his former wife, Florence |
21 |
| Glenn; his two daughters, Clarissa Glenn and Yvonne |
22 |
| Glenn-Brown; his two sons, Clarence and Bryan; his three |
23 |
| sisters, Diane, Joanne, and Clarice Glenn; and his two |
24 |
| brothers, Council and Franklin; and his 10 grandchildren; and |
25 |
| WHEREAS, Clarence "Bubba" Glenn's death is a loss to the |
26 |
| city of Chicago by his contributions to the unending war |
27 |
| against crime, and he will be sorely missed; therefore, be it
