| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Sergeant William |
| 4 |
| Beaudway of LaGrange Park on being named 2003 Police Officer of |
| 5 |
| the Year by the Brookfield-LaGrange Park Lions Club; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Sergeant Beaudway joined the LaGrange Park Police |
| 7 |
| Department in 1979 and is a lifelong resident of LaGrange Park; |
| 8 |
| he serves as the supervisor for the LaGrange Park Crime |
| 9 |
| Prevention and Neighborhood Watch programs and is also a |
| 10 |
| certified Child Safety Seat Officer; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, During 2003, Sergeant Beaudway volunteered for an |
| 12 |
| assignment as the department's Reverse 911 Coordinator; |
| 13 |
| through his involvement, Brookfield, LaGrange, and LaGrange |
| 14 |
| Park now have a system in place for making community-wide |
| 15 |
| notifications in times of need through innovative technology; |
| 16 |
| and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Sergeant Beaudway is an active member of the |
| 18 |
| department's Adopt-A-Cop program and regularly participates in |
| 19 |
| local events with his family; he exemplifies the ideals of a |
| 20 |
| community police officer; therefore, be it
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 22 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 23 |
| congratulate Sergeant William Beaudway of LaGrange Park on |
| 24 |
| being named 2003 Police Officer of the Year by the |
| 25 |
| Brookfield-LaGrange Park Lions Club; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Sergeant William Beaudway as an expression of our |
| 28 |
| respect and esteem.
