| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate Bureau Chief Donald R. |
4 |
| Cook on the occasion of his retirement from the Lisle Woodridge |
5 |
| Fire District; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Bureau Chief Donald R. Cook is in charge of |
7 |
| Maintenance for the District; he began his career with the |
8 |
| District in June of 1970; he and his twin brother, Battalion |
9 |
| Chief Daniel F. Cook were the first career firefighters who |
10 |
| were brothers, and their father also served as a paid on-call |
11 |
| officer; and |
12 |
| WHEREAS, In April of 1974, Bureau Chief Cook was hired |
13 |
| full-time by the District; most of his career has been |
14 |
| dedicated to the improvement of the maintenance of vehicles and |
15 |
| stations for the District; he was also active in the formation |
16 |
| of the Cause and Origin team for the District; and |
17 |
| WHEREAS, Bureau Chief Cook is married to Tracey and is the |
18 |
| father of Carla and Donald John; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
20 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
21 |
| congratulate Bureau Chief Donald R. Cook on the occasion of his |
22 |
| retirement from the Lisle Woodridge Fire District; and be it |
23 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
25 |
| presented to Bureau Chief Donald R. Cook as an expression of |
26 |
| our deepest respect and esteem, and with our many thanks for |
27 |
| his devotion to the protection of the citizens of the Lisle |
28 |
| Woodridge Fire District, along with our best wishes for a |
29 |
| relaxing retirement.
