| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate Battalion Chief Daniel |
4 |
| F. Cook on the occasion of his retirement from the Lisle |
5 |
| Woodridge Fire District; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Battalion Chief Daniel F. Cook is currently |
7 |
| assigned to the Gold shift; he started with the District in |
8 |
| June of 1970 and became a full-time firefighter in June of |
9 |
| 1973; and |
10 |
| WHEREAS, Battalion Chief Cook and his twin brother, Bureau |
11 |
| Chief Donald R. Cook, were the first career firefighters who |
12 |
| were brothers; their father, John, was a paid on-call officer |
13 |
| for the District at the time that Battalion Chief Cook joined; |
14 |
| and |
15 |
| WHEREAS, Battalion Chief Cook was involved in the formation |
16 |
| of the Cause and Origin team for the District; he is the father |
17 |
| of one daughter, Heather; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
20 |
| congratulate Battalion Chief Daniel F. Cook on the occasion of |
21 |
| his retirement from the Lisle Woodridge Fire District; and be |
22 |
| it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
24 |
| presented to Battalion Chief Daniel F. Cook as an expression of |
25 |
| our deepest respect and esteem, and with our many thanks for |
26 |
| his devotion to the protection of the citizens of the Lisle |
27 |
| Woodridge Fire District, along with our best wishes for a |
28 |
| relaxing retirement.
