| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 |
| Representatives congratulate Richard L. Guebert, Jr., on his |
4 |
| election as vice president of the Illinois Farm Bureau; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Guebert is a 1974 graduate of Southern |
6 |
| Illinois University; he received a degree in Ag Education and |
7 |
| minored in Animal Science; he was president of the SIU Ag |
8 |
| Council and was a student representative on the search |
9 |
| committee for Dean of the School of Agriculture; and |
10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Guebert was raised on a dairy farm and was a |
11 |
| herdsman for Indian Farm from 1974 until 1980 when he started |
12 |
| farming on his own; which was incorporated as R-N-K Farms, |
13 |
| Inc., in 1996; along with his son, Kyle and an employee, Byron |
14 |
| Zipfel, Mr. Guebert farms 2,700 acres of corn, soybeans, and |
15 |
| wheat; and |
16 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Guebert has served as an agricultural |
17 |
| representative on the Southwestern Illinois Economic |
18 |
| Development Commission; and was most recently appointed by the |
19 |
| Randolph County Commissioners to chairman of the Prairie du |
20 |
| Rocher and Modoc Levee and Drainage District; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Guebert serves as Director of several |
22 |
| organizations including, the Lower Kaskaskia Stakeholders, |
23 |
| Inc., the Kaskaskia Watershed Association, and Gateway FS; he |
24 |
| is the current President of the Randolph County Farm Bureau |
25 |
| Board of Directors; he is past director of the Randolph Service |
26 |
| Company and has served on the IFB Resolutions Committee and the |
27 |
| IFB Coop Task Force; in addition, he is a graduate of 2001 A |
28 |
| LOT, and was the IFB Region IV Legislative Appreciation emcee |
29 |
| at the DuQuoin Fair; therefore, be it
