 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State  of Illinois wish to congratulate the Saint Viator
 4    Lions varsity girls  soccer  team  of  Arlington  Heights  on
 5    winning  the Class A 2002-2003 IHSA Girls Soccer Championship
 6    in May of 2003; and

 7        WHEREAS, The championship match was held at North Central
 8    College in  Naperville;  Saint  Viator  defeated  Triad  High
 9    School of Troy by a score of 1 to 0, with the only goal being
10    scored in overtime by Danielle Griebel; and

11        WHEREAS,  The  members of the team include, Lauren Moser,
12    Kaitlin Calov, Lyndsey Crandall, Cara Rufo,  Laura  Majewski,
13    Danielle  Griebel,  Michele  Pokorny,  Valerie Cooper, Lauren
14    Griebel, Erin Evans, Lauren Weber, Nicole Meschbach,  Shannon
15    Schaeffer,  Megan  Blenner,  Stephanie  Lesniak, Elise Weber,
16    Deanna  Mayer,  Briana  Lasco,   Natalia   Walters,   Allison
17    Forrestal, Heather Crawford, and Sara Schmidt; and

18        WHEREAS, The Lions' record for the season was 23 wins and
19    1  loss; the team is led by head coach, Rory Dames; Assistant
20    Varsity Coach,  Robert  Meschbach;  Junior  Varsity  Coaches,
21    Chris  Fischer  and  Kevin  Hogendorp;  Sophomore  Coach, Dan
22    Edminster; and Freshman Coach, Roberto Avendano; the athletic
23    director at Saint Viator is Lynn Gaziano and the Principal is
24    Rev. Thomas R. von Behren, C.S.V.; therefore, be it

25        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
26    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27    we congratulate the members and coaches of the  Saint  Viator
28    varsity  girls  soccer  team on winning the Class A 2002-2003
29    IHSA Girls Soccer Championship; and be it further

30        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
31    presented  to the members and the coaches of the Saint Viator
