093_HR0373 LRB093 12063 HSS 16791 r 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of 3 the State of Illinois were deeply saddened to learn of the 4 death of Victor Frantz of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of 5 Oswego, on Friday, May 16, 2003; and 6 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz was born on June 1, 1930 in Oak Park 7 to Ernest and Ann (Amirant) Frantz, Sr.; he married Sandra 8 Moore on June 1, 1985 in Minooka; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz valiantly served his country in the 10 United States Army during World War II as part of the 11 occupying force in Japan; at the time he enlisted, he was 12 only 16, so he lied about his age in order to serve his 13 country; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz was a criminal investigator for the 15 State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor and served twice as 16 the Sheriff of Kendall County, first from 1966 to 1970 and 17 later from 1978 to 1982; he worked as an instructor at the 18 Police Training Institute, University of Illinois, and he was 19 the Chief Investigator for the Kendall County State's 20 Attorney; he served as a Supervisor for Kendall County 21 Probation, a Legislative Assistant of Criminal Justice, the 22 Chief of Police for Plano, and the Chief Deputy of Kendall 23 County from 1961 to 1964; and 24 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz was an ardent and passionate weight 25 lifter throughout his entire life; and 26 WHEREAS, The passing of Victor Frantz has been deeply 27 felt by many, especially his wife, Sandra Frantz; his 28 children, Danny (Pam) Frantz, Cindy (Steve) Blasing, Anna 29 (Brian) Wales, Tina (Chris) Graham, Victor M. Frantz, and 30 Vince Frantz; his grandchildren, Ben Loftus, Nicholas 31 Blasing, Jon and Ronda Frantz, Teresa and Adam Wolf, Meghan, -2- LRB093 12063 HSS 16791 r 1 Matt, and Brandon Feller, Brennan Wales, and Jessica Graham; 2 his great-grandchildren, Felicia and Hunter Frantz; his 3 brother, Ernest G. (Diane) Frantz, Jr.; his sister, Delores 4 Colsher; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it 5 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 6 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 7 together with his friends, family, and all who knew and loved 8 him, we mourn the passing of Victor Frantz; and be it further 9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 10 presented to the family of Victor Frantz as an expression of 11 our deepest sympathy during their time of bereavement.
