 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  congratulate  Leo  McCann  after 20 years of
 4    dedicated service to the Village of Buffalo Grove; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  McCann  has  developed  and  advanced  the
 6    highest operational standards for the  Buffalo  Grove  Police
 7    Department;  he  participated  as  a force in regional policy
 8    including the NW  Central  Dispatch,  the  Northern  Illinois
 9    Crime  Lab,  the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force, and the
10    Northern Illinois Police Alarm System; and he also  developed
11    multi-year  plans  and  strategies  leading  to extremely low
12    rates of crime; and

13        WHEREAS,  Mr.  McCann  received  recognition   from   the
14    National Commission on Accreditation in 1987, 1992, 1997, and
15    2002;  and  was  also  named  police  officer  of the year in
16    Buffalo Grove; therefore, be it

17        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
18    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19    we congratulate Leo McCann on his retirement from the Village
20    of Buffalo  Grove  Police  Department  after  many  years  of
21    service to the people of Buffalo Grove; and be it further

22        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
23    presented to Leo McCann as an expression of our  respect  and
24    esteem.
