 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Robert
 4    Lee  Bozeman  Sr. of Chicago, beloved uncle of our colleague,
 5    State Representative Constance A. "Connie" Howard; and

 6        WHEREAS, Mr. Bozeman  was  born  to  Edward  and  Lucinda
 7    Bozeman  in  Vicksburg,  Mississippi  and was the youngest of
 8    twelve children; and

 9        WHEREAS, Mr. Bozeman relocated to Chicago as  a  teenager
10    and attended St. Elizabeth and Dusable High School; he served
11    in  the  United  States  Army and was honorably discharged in
12    1945; and

13        WHEREAS, Mr. Bozeman married Mary Jeannette and  fathered
14    three  children; he remarried to Delores Daniel and they were
15    the proud parents of ten children; and

16        WHEREAS, Mr. Bozeman was a member of the Amalgamated Meat
17    Cutter's Union and worked as a meat cutter for 43 years until
18    his retirement; and

19        WHEREAS, Mr. Bozeman a wonderful spirit  about  life  and
20    lived  it  to the fullest; he was a creative and artistic man
21    whose  talents  were  often  captured  in  his  sketches  and
22    drawings; and

23        WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by all who  knew
24    and  loved  him  especially  his  wife,  Delores;  his  three
25    daughters, Joan, Rhonda (William), and Tammy; his seven sons,
26    Robert   Jr.  (Helen),  Phillip,  Vincent  (Sabrina),  Steven
27    (Sheila), Al (Catherine), David (Dawn), and Kevin  (Rebecca);
28    his fifteen grandchildren; his three great grandchildren; and
29    a host of nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

30        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE

 1    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
 2    we  mourn the death of Robert Lee Bozeman Sr., along with all
 3    who knew and loved him, and extend our sincere condolences to
 4    his family and friends; and be it further

 5        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 6    presented to the family of Robert Lee Bozeman Sr.
