 1                  AMENDMENT TO HOUSE RESOLUTION 12

 2        AMENDMENT  NO.      .   Amend  House  Resolution  12   as
 3    follows:

 4    on  page  17,  immediately  below  line  17, by inserting the
 5    following:
 6        "(d-1)  A motion for passage of  a  bill  that  has  been
 7    advanced   to  the  House  by  the  Rules  Committee  may  be
 8    considered no earlier than the next legislative day following
 9    the day that the bill was advanced. A motion for the adoption
10    by the House of a resolution or conference  committee  report
11    that  has  been advanced to the House by the Rules Committee,
12    or referred to  a  standing  or  special  committee,  may  be
13    considered no earlier than the next legislative day following
14    the  day  that  the resolution or conference committee report
15    was  (i)  advanced  to  the  House  or  (ii)  referred  to  a
16    committee. The provisions of this subsection do not apply  to
17    adjournment  resolutions  filed under Rule 66 and resolutions
18    considered under subsection (b) or (c) of Rule 16.".
