Appropriates $2,527,500 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for district consolidation costs and supplemental payments to school districts. Effective immediately.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. In addition to amounts previously appropriated for this purpose, the amount of $2,527,500, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for district consolidation costs and supplemental payments to school districts under Sections 18-8.2, 18-8.3, and 18-8.5 and subsection (I) of Section 18-8.05 of the School Code, which shall be used by the State Board of Education exclusively for this purpose and not, under any circumstances, for personal services expenditures or other operational or administrative costs.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
