| AN ACT concerning domestic violence.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the
Civil |

| Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
|

| 2605-310 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 2605/2605-310 new)
|

| Sec. 2605-310. Office of Domestic Violence Prevention.
|

| The Department shall establish an Office of Domestic Violence |
10 |
| Prevention
through its partnership with the Illinois Regional |
11 |
| Institute for Community
Policing (RICP). The Office of Domestic |
12 |
| Violence Prevention at the Regional
Institute for Community |
13 |
| Policing shall continue to collaborate with the
Department of |
14 |
| Human Services on coordinating cross-system services in |
15 |
| response
to domestic violence. Services include, but are not |
16 |
| limited to, those of law
enforcement, the courts, human |
17 |
| services, health agencies, community-based
providers, |
18 |
| employers, and schools.
