| AN ACT concerning professional regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is |
5 |
| amended by changing
Section 1 as follows:
|

| (225 ILCS 15/1) (from Ch. 111, par. 5351)

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)

| Sec. 1. Policy; short title. The practice of clinical |
9 |
| psychology in
Illinois is hereby
declared to affect the public |
10 |
| health, safety and welfare, and to be subject
to regulations in |
11 |
| the public interest to protect the public from
persons who are |
12 |
| unauthorized or unqualified to represent themselves as
|
13 |
| clinical psychologists or as being able to render clinical |
14 |
| psychological
services as herein defined, and from |
15 |
| unprofessional
conduct by persons licensed to practice |
16 |
| clinical psychology. This Act
shall be known and may be cited |
17 |
| as the " Clinical Psychologist Licensing
Act " .
