1     AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
 
6     (225 ILCS 15/1)  (from Ch. 111, par. 5351)
7     (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)
8     Sec. 1. Policy; short title. The practice of clinical
9 psychology in Illinois is hereby declared to affect the public
10 health, safety and welfare, and to be subject to regulations in
11 the public interest to protect the public from persons who are
12 unauthorized or unqualified to represent themselves as
13 clinical psychologists or as being able to render clinical
14 psychological services as herein defined, and from
15 unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice
16 clinical psychology. This Act shall be known and may be cited
17 as the "Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act".
