    AN ACT in relation to civil procedure.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by 
5
changing Section 5-101
as follows:

    (735 ILCS 5/5-101)  (from Ch. 110, par. 5-101)

    Sec. 5-101. Security for costs.
In all actions in any court 
8
on official bonds for the use of any
person, actions on the 
9
bonds of executors, administrators or guardians,
qui tam 
10
actions, actions on a penal statute, and in all civil actions,

11
in which
where the plaintiff, or person for whose use an action 
12
is to
be
commenced, is not a resident of this State, the 
13
plaintiff, or
person for whose use the action is to be 
14
commenced, shall, before he
or she institutes the
such action, 
15
file, or cause to be filed, with the
clerk of
the
court in 
16
which the action is to be commenced, security for costs,

17
substantially in the following form:

    A B v. C D - (Title of court.)

    I, (E.F.) enter myself security for all costs which may 
20
accrue in
the above entitled action.
