    Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act. Makes technical changes in the Section concerning special education services.

1     AN ACT concerning mental health and developmental
2 disabilities.
 
3     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
 
5     Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental
6 Disabilities Administrative Act is amended by changing Section
7 11.1 as follows:
 
8     (20 ILCS 1705/11.1)  (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 100-11.1)
9     Sec. 11.1. Special education services. To provide for all
10 recipients living in State mental health facilities between the
11 ages of 3 and 21 years special education services, as defined
12 by the Department, to the extent that the such services are
13 practical for each child's needs. Upon discharge of the child,
14 a report of the discharge, accompanied by a report on the
15 special education services received by that child while in the
16 facility shall be forwarded to the State Board of Education and
17 to the resident school district.
