    AN ACT concerning veterans.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Veterans Preference Act is amended  by 
5
changing Section 2 as follows:

    Sec. 2. Contracts; preference provision.
Every contract 
8
for such work shall contain a term providing for the
preference 
9
given in Section 1.
