| AN ACT concerning franchises.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Franchise Disclosure Act of 1987 is amended |
5 |
| by changing
Section 21 as follows:
|

| Sec. 21. Franchise Advisory Board. There is created in the
|
8 |
| Office of
the Administrator a Franchise Advisory Board. The |
9 |
| Franchise Advisory Board
shall consist of such members as the |
10 |
| Administrator deems appropriate to
advise him or her on |
11 |
| franchising and franchise related matters. The
members shall
be |
12 |
| persons who have knowledge and experience in franchising. The |
13 |
| members
of the Franchise Advisory Board shall serve at the |
14 |
| pleasure of the
Administrator. The Franchise Advisory Board |
15 |
| from time to time shall make
recommendations concerning the |
16 |
| administration and enforcement of this Act.
Members of the |
17 |
| Franchise Advisory Board shall serve without compensation
but |
18 |
| shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred |
19 |
| in their
official capacities. The Board shall select its own |
20 |
| chairman, establish
rules and procedures, and keep a record of |
21 |
| matters transpiring at all meetings.
