| AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section
8 as follows:
|

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2008)

| Sec. 8. Licensure without examination.
The Department may, |
9 |
| in its discretion, license
as a pharmacist, without |
10 |
| examination, on payment of the required fee,
an applicant who |
11 |
| is so licensed under the laws of another U.S. jurisdiction
or |
12 |
| another country, if the requirements for licensure in the other
|
13 |
| jurisdiction in which the applicant was licensed, were, at the |
14 |
| date
of his licensure deemed by the Board to be substantially |
15 |
| equivalent
to the requirements then in force in this State.
