    AN ACT in relation to the General Assembly.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The General Assembly Organization Act is amended 
5
by changing
Section 3 as follows:

    (25 ILCS 5/3)  (from Ch. 63, par. 3)

    Sec. 3. Deposit of books, bills, documents, and papers with 
8
the Secretary
of State.   The
Secretary of the Senate and Clerk 
9
of the House of
Representatives, at the close of each session 
10
of the General Assembly,
shall deliver to the Secretary of 
11
State all books, bills, documents, and
papers in the possession 
12
of either branch of the General Assembly,
correctly labeled, 
13
folded and classified, according to the subject matter
of such 
14
documents respectively; and the Secretary of State shall 
15
preserve
the same in his office.
