Amends the Real Estate License Act of 2000. Provides that the Office of Banks and Real Estate, the Attorney General, on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois, any statewide association of licensees, or any aggrieved party may bring an action against any person or entity engaging in real estate brokerage activities without first obtaining a license under this Act, unless otherwise exempt from licensure, and upon a finding of unlicensed activities shall be entitled to (i) appropriate equitable relief and (ii) actual damages, if any.

| AN ACT concerning professional regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Real Estate License Act of 2000 is amended |
5 |
| by adding Section 20-130 as follows: |
6 |
| (225 ILCS 454/20-130 new) |

| Sec. 20-130. Unlicensed activities; relief. The Office of |
8 |
| Banks and Real Estate, the Attorney General, on behalf of the |
9 |
| People of the State of Illinois, any statewide association of |
10 |
| licensees, or any aggrieved party may bring an action against |
11 |
| any person or entity engaging in real estate brokerage |
12 |
| activities without first obtaining a license under this Act, |
13 |
| unless otherwise exempt from licensure, and upon a finding of |
14 |
| unlicensed activities shall be entitled to (i) appropriate |
15 |
| equitable relief and (ii) actual damages, if any.
