SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $1,000,000 from the Public Health Laboratory Services Revolving Fund to the Department of Public Health to reimburse units of local government that are located in Metropolitan Statistical Areas as defined in the United States 2000 Census for laboratory services expenses related to the identification and analysis of emerging public health problems or outbreaks. Effective July 1, 2004.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Public Health Laboratory Services Revolving Fund to the Department of Public Health to reimburse units of local government that are located in Metropolitan Statistical Areas as defined in the United States 2000 Census for laboratory services expenses related to the identification and analysis of emerging public health problems or outbreaks.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2004.
