| AN ACT concerning utilities.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing
|
| 5 |
| Section 5-105 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (220 ILCS 5/5-105) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 5-105)
|

| Sec. 5-105. Audits and inspections. The Commission may |
| 8 |
| provide for the
examination and audit of all
accounts, and all |
| 9 |
| items shall be allocated to the accounts in the manner
|
| 10 |
| prescribed by the Commission. The officers and employees of the |
| 11 |
| Commission
shall have authority under the direction of the |
| 12 |
| Commission to inspect and
examine any and all books, accounts, |
| 13 |
| papers, records and memoranda kept by
such public utilities.
