Amends the State Property Control Act. Requires that State owned motor vehicles bear identifying State and agency decals. Requires the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules to establish exemptions for security purposes. Requires the Department of Central Management Services to maintain as a public record a list of exempt vehicles by license plate number.

| AN ACT concerning State motor vehicles.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The State Property Control Act is amended by |
5 |
| adding Section 20 as follows: |
6 |
| (30 ILCS 605/20 new) |

| Sec. 20. State motor vehicles. In order that motor vehicles |
8 |
| are identifiable as State property, each motor vehicle owned by |
9 |
| the State shall bear on its driver's door and the lid of its |
10 |
| trunk decals with a small State seal and the name of the State |
11 |
| agency using the vehicle. |

| The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules shall |
13 |
| determine exemptions from the requirement of this Section for |
14 |
| reasonable security purposes. The Department of Central |
15 |
| Management Services shall maintain as a public record a list of |
16 |
| exempt motor vehicles identified by license plate numbers. |
17 |
| The requirement of this Section and exemptions from that |
18 |
| requirement are separate from and in addition to the |
19 |
| requirements of the State Motor Vehicle Identification Act and |
20 |
| the exemptions from that Act.
