| AN ACT concerning the Department on Aging.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 8.10 as
follows:
|
| 6 |
| (20 ILCS 105/8.10 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 8.10. Aging family caregiver assistance program. |
| 8 |
| Subject to appropriation, the Department must
establish and |
| 9 |
| administer a program to provide support services to Illinois
|
| 10 |
| residents
aged 60 or older who are the primary caregivers to |
| 11 |
| one or more family members
who are
developmentally disabled. |
| 12 |
| The Department must adopt rules necessary for the
|
| 13 |
| implementation of this Section, including the establishment of |
| 14 |
| additional
eligibility
criteria.
