| AN ACT concerning the Department on Aging.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
5 |
| adding Section 8.10 as
follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 105/8.10 new)
|

| Sec. 8.10. Aging family caregiver assistance program. |

| Subject to appropriation, the Department must
establish and |
9 |
| administer a program to provide financial assistance to |
10 |
| Illinois
residents
aged 60 or older who are the primary |
11 |
| caregivers to one or more family members
who are
|
12 |
| developmentally disabled. The Department must adopt rules |
13 |
| necessary for the
implementation of this Section, including the |
14 |
| establishment of additional
eligibility
criteria.
