70 ILCS 920/5.4 new










    Amends the Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act. Dissolves the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District. Requires all assets and
liabilities and all responsibility for tuberculosis treatment and care of the
District to be transferred
to
the
Cook County Department of Public Health.

    AN ACT concerning tuberculosis sanitariums.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act is 
5
amended by
changing Section 5.4 as follows:

    (70 ILCS 920/5.4 new)

    Sec. 5.4. Dissolution; Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis 
8
Sanitarium District.  Notwithstanding any
provision of law to 
9
the contrary, the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium 
10
District is
dissolved by operation of law upon the effective 
11
date of this amendatory Act of
the 93rd General
Assembly. All 
12
assets and liabilities and all responsibility for tuberculosis

13
care and treatment of the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis 
14
Sanitarium District
dissolved
under this amendatory Act of the 
15
93rd General Assembly
are transferred to
the Cook County 
16
Department  of Public Health.
