Amends the Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the second week of
September
of
every year is designated as Everyday Heroes Week in Illinois. Provides that
Everyday
Heroes Week is in honor of all men and women of the military, fire, rescue,
emergency,
medical field, police, and public works departments, who risk their lives every
day. Effective immediately.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |

| adding Section
115 as follows:
|

| (5 ILCS 490/115 new)
|

| Sec. 115. Everyday Heroes Week.
The second week of |

| September of each year is
designated as Everyday Heroes Week to |

| be observed throughout the State as a
week set
apart to honor |

| all men and women of the military, fire, rescue, emergency,

| medical field,
police, and public works departments, who risk |

| their lives everyday.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |

| becoming law. |
