Amends the Professional Engineering Practice Act of 1989. Requires each professional engineer, employee, or project representative and his or her vehicle to be clearly identified whenever he or she is on a project site. Provides that it is a violation of the Act to hide, conceal, cover, obscure, mask, or attempt to deceive another by failing to clearly identify a professional engineer, employee, or project representative and his or her vehicle whenever he or she is on a project site. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Professional Engineering Practice Act of |
5 |
| 1989 is amended by adding Section 14.5 as follows: |
6 |
| (225 ILCS 325/14.5 new) |
7 |
| Sec. 14.5. Identification. Each professional engineer, |
8 |
| employee, or project representative and his or her vehicle |
9 |
| shall be clearly identified whenever he or she is on a project |
10 |
| site. The identification shall contain the name, address, and |
11 |
| phone number of the employer licensed under this Act that |
12 |
| employs the professional engineer, employee, or project |
13 |
| representative. |

| It is a violation of this Act to hide, conceal, cover, |
15 |
| obscure, mask, or attempt to deceive another by failing to |
16 |
| clearly identify a professional engineer, employee, or project |
17 |
| representative and his or her vehicle whenever he or she is on |
18 |
| a project site.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
20 |
| becoming law.
