The following named amount, or so much 13 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the 14 Optometric Licensing and Disciplinary Board Fund to the 15 Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the following 16 purpose: 17 Grants and Scholarships 18 For payment of scholarships for the 19 Optometric Education Scholarship 20 Program, as provided by law ......................$ 50,000 21 Section 65. The sum of $150,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Student 3 Assistance Commission from the General Revenue Fund for 4 support of new initiatives to increase awareness of 5 educational and financial aid opportunities among underserved 6 or underrepresented populations. 7 Section 75. The sum of $220,000,000, or so much thereof 8 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal Student 9 Loan Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for 10 distribution when necessary as a result of the following: for 11 guarantees of loans that are uncollectable, for collection 12 payments to the Student Loan Operating Fund as required under 13 agreements with the United States Secretary of Education, for 14 payment to the Student Loan Operating Fund for Default 15 Aversion Fees, and for other distributions as necessary and 16 provided for under the Federal Higher Education Act. 17 Section 80. The sum of $24,000,000, or so much thereof 18 as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois 19 Student Assistance Commission from the Student Loan Operating 20 Fund for distribution as necessary for the following: for 21 payment of collection agency fees associated with collection 22 activities for Federal Family Education Loans, for Default 23 Aversion Fee reversals, and for distributions as necessary 24 and provided for under the Federal Higher Education Act. 25 Section 85. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as 26 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Student 27 Assistance Commission from the Student Loan Operating Fund 28 for costs associated with Federal Loan System Development and 29 Maintenance. 30 Section 90. The sum of $13,000,000, or so much thereof HB3736 Engrossed -7- BOB093 00079 EMB 00079 b 1 as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Student 2 Assistance Commission from the Student Loan Operating Fund 3 for transfer to the Federal Student Loan Fund for 4 reimbursement of sums transferred for working capital 5 purposes as permitted by federal law. 6 Section 95. The sum of $1,300,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal Reserve 8 Recall Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for 9 default prevention activities and transfers to the Student 10 Loan Operating Fund. 11 Section 100. The sum of $300,000, or so much of that 12 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Accounts 13 Receivable Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission 14 for costs associated with the collection of delinquent 15 scholarship awards pursuant to the Illinois State Collection 16 Act of 1986. 17 Section 105. The following named amount, or so much 18 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal 19 Student Assistance Scholarship Fund to the Illinois Student 20 Assistance Commission for the following purpose: 21 For payment of Robert C. Byrd 22 Honors Scholarships........................ $1,800,000 23 Section 110. The sum of $70,000, or so much thereof as 24 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Student 25 Assistance Commission from the University Grant Fund for 26 payment of grants for the Higher Education License Plate 27 Program, as provided by law. 28 Section 115. The following named amount, or so much 8 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal 9 Student Assistance Scholarship Fund to the Illinois Student 10 Assistance Commission for the following purpose: 11 For transferring repayment funds collected 12 under the Paul Douglas Teacher Scholarship 13 Program to the U.S. Treasury ....................$ 400,000 14 Section 125.
